A Bit About Me!

Hello and welcome to Glitter & Glamour

My name is Kelly Johnson and I’m a married mum of 4.

I’ve always enjoyed doing nails, but I only ever did gel polish on myself and occasionally friends.

Due to health reasons I had to give up my much loved job of caring for the elderly.

 I recently got back into nails and started looking into acrylics.

After a bit of time teaching myself how to apply acrylics on myself, friends and family, I decided it was time to look into it professionally, and so began my journey to becoming a nail technician.

When I’m not making beautiful nails, I’m busy cooking, cleaning, shopping and sleeping! 

I know how daunting it can be to go to a salon - we expect them to look perfectly primed right! 

Well, not in my salon! I hate putting make up on, I forget to brush my hair pretty much every day and I almost always have at least one spot on my face that simply will not go away - the joys of kids!!

I’m basically a typical, tired, ‘to busy for that palaver’ working mum, so please do not worry if you ‘think’ you dont look your best!

But I do love to have my nails done, and at least a colour on my tootsies! I feel completely lost if I don’t have something on, and even worse when I don’t have time for glitter 

Being in my little salon is my down time! (As well as my monthly massage) 

It’s where I get to not be mum, cook, cleaner, taxi driver etc and just be me…..

Friendly, caring, and a little crazy…. And I’m forever dropping things or knocking things over!

When you come to me, my sole focus is on you and your needs/wants.

I always have the kettle on, and am always ready for a natter and a giggle 

I know just how hard and stressful life can be, so taking time out for yourself is so important.

Who’s going to look after everyone if you don’t look after yourself?

I’m here to help you get the ‘me time’ you deserve.
